Downsampling HiRes FLAC files to CD quality.
Reasons for downsampling could be many. For me it was to enable streaming and iPhone support.
Both my streaming solution and iPhone does not recognize 24bit/192 kHz FLAC (Studio Master) so I started to look for solution to easily downsample these to more supported CD 16/44,1 kHz format.
Get programs:
FLAC Frontend
eac3to
1. Decode FLAC-files to WAV-files with FLAC Frontend
2. Downsample files from command line following command. Repeat for all files
c:\eac3to.exe hires_input.wav cd_output.wav -down16 -resampleto44100
3. Encode back to FLAC with FLAC Frontend if you wish.
